NSW Nationals announce David Layzell as Upper Hunter candidate

Clarence Town resident David Layzell has been pre-selected as the NSW Nationals candidate for Upper Hunter in the upcoming by-election.
Following the sudden resignation of Michael Johnsen from the party, in the wake of numerous sordid allegations, the organisation met this evening (Wednesday 8 April) to name a contender for the highly sought-after seat.
It is believed Singleton mayor Sue Moore also came into calculations.
However, Mr Layzell boasts a proven track record of working in the community to create a safer and stronger Upper Hunter.
The construction manager said he was passionate about protecting local jobs, listening to people and finding common-sense solutions.
